Curious as to why several dozen awesome cars invaded the parking lot where I was eating dinner today, I looked for car meets in the area and found this: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Apparently they're on hiatus now, but the group I saw tonight was just holding their own smaller meet in place of this official one. They seem really cool, and they link to Jalopnik on their Facebook page, so I do have to wonder if anyone here has ever been there? I'm not kidding when I say they have some awesome stuff, and they just seem like a really nice group. If I had a decent car (or any at all) I'd have to join them next time.

Car meets are great! Just go and walk around and chat with people. Get some food and drink, and enjoy seeing each others machines. Even people without cars show up to the meets ive been too.

Yeah, I know. I just wish they would get their shit together and bring back the official, LEGAL meet. The one today is just a bunch of guys in loud cars taking over a parking lot with no intention of even using any of the businesses whose customers they're pushing away.

Yeah, ive been to a few like that. Though, weve usually had enough people where if the food place lost all their normal customers, the car guys would bring in equal or more business alone. Even if half the car guys didnt even buy anything. If they are smaller, and not supporting the business, then they best be on super good behavior.
Also, it helps going to meets after 9 or 10pm since most of the places would have little or no customers to create any issues with.

Looks like their local spots are just up the road from me. I will have to keep my eye on that page.
